Procurement Manager

The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is looking for you as our new Procurement Manager!

What are my responsibilities? 

As our Procurement Manager, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of goods and services across the hotel. From negotiating with suppliers to overseeing inventory and purchasing processes, you make sure our teams have everything they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You lead the daily operations of the Purchasing department, balancing cost efficiency, quality and operational needs. With your hands-on approach and commercial mindset, you continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and strengthen supplier partnerships.

Your responsibilities include:

·       Oversee daily purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution of goods.

·       Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate prices and ensure competitive purchasing conditions.

·       Manage inventory, stock levels and monthly stocktaking.

·       Monitor purchasing costs, budgets and opportunities for improvement.

·       Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and financial controls.

·       Collaborate with department leaders to meet operational needs.

·       Lead and support the Purchasing team, taking a hands-on approach when needed.

What makes you the perfect candidate?

• You have previous experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory management, preferably within hospitality.

• You are a confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.

• You are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

• You enjoy leading a team but are equally happy to roll up your sleeves and help out when needed.

• You are proficient in Excel and purchasing/inventory management software.

• You have a good understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory control and financial processes.

• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

• You bring a proactive mindset, a sense of ownership and a genuine passion for hospitality.
