Breakfast Chef

As the Breakfast Chef, you are responsible for leading the hotel's breakfast kitchen operation, ensuring every guest starts their day with an exceptional dining experience. You will oversee breakfast production, buffet presentation and live cooking stations, while leading your team to consistently deliver high-quality food, efficient service and outstanding guest satisfaction.

What are your responsibilities? 

• Oversee the daily breakfast operation, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across the buffet and live cooking stations.

• Deliver a seamless breakfast experience by maintaining product freshness, availability and high service standards throughout service.

• Ensure breakfast Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are consistently followed and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.

• Coordinate early-morning preparation, production planning and service flow to ensure a smooth and well-organised operation.

• Supervise, coach and support the breakfast kitchen team, creating a positive working environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Monitoring food costs, ordering, stock levels and waste.

• Ensuring full compliance with HACCP, food safety legislation and company procedures, maintaining a safe and well-organised kitchen environment.

• Working closely with the Food & Beverage and Front Office teams to anticipate guest needs and deliver an outstanding breakfast experience.

• Supporting menu development, seasonal improvements and new breakfast concepts together with the Executive Chef.

• Leading by example during service, maintaining high energy, clear communication and operational excellence every day.

You are a passionate culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced breakfast operation. You know how to combine operational excellence with a genuine passion for quality, creating memorable guest experiences while developing your team and leading from the front.

Additionally, you:

• Have experience managing breakfast buffets, live cooking stations and high-volume morning service while maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation.

• Lead by example, motivating your team through clear communication, coaching and a hands-on approach.

• Possess excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations and modern kitchen systems.

• Are highly organised and thrive in an early morning, fast-paced environment where planning, preparation and attention to detail are essential.

• Are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and continuously look for ways to improve quality and efficiency.

• Can communicate fluently in English.

• Are legally eligible to work in the Netherlands.
