The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is searching for its next Barista! 

What are my responsibilities?

As a Barista, you are the face of our coffee program and the creator of those first memorable moments of the day. With passion for great coffee, genuine hospitality and attention to detail, you craft drinks that go beyond taste - they tell a story. You bring warmth and energy to every interaction, ensuring guests feel welcome and inspired to return. 

• Prepare high-quality coffee and tea beverages, showcasing advanced barista skills, including latte art and attention to presentation. 

• Operate and maintain coffee equipment to ensure peak performance and quality standards. 

• Engage with guests, offering recommendations and sharing knowledge about our coffee & tea program and other offerings. 

• Support Beverage & Food team assisting with orders or other tasks as needed and ensuring guest satisfaction. 

• Maintain a clean and organized coffee station and assist with the general upkeep of the bar area. 

• Collaborate with the team to develop new coffee-based drinks and enhance the beverage menu. 

• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, and related supplies, placing orders when necessary. 

• Follow all hygiene, safety, and company standards to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for guests and colleagues. 

• Fulfil other reasonable job duties as instructed by the manager.  

What are we looking for?

• Have proven experience as a Barista, proficient in making all types of coffee 

• A natural people-person who builds warm connections with both guests and colleagues.

• Are responsible, energetic and always looking for new ways to improve.  

• Can communicate fluently in English. Any other language is a plus! 

• Are available to work different shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays

• Eligible to work in the Netherlands
