At the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel, we are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner who is present, approachable and ready to make an impact where it matters most: on the floor.

 

What will you do?

As a People & Culture Business Partner, you are part of the daily rhythm of the hotel. You are the dedicated partner for a number of departments, working closely with Heads of Department and their teams, supporting them in the moments that matter: from recruitment to recognition and day-to-day people challenges.

 

You are not doing this alone. Alongside another People & Culture Business Partner, you each look after different areas of the business, working closely together and with the wider People & Culture team to add real value from a people perspective and ensure a consistent, people-focused approach across the hotel.

 

In your role, you will:

  • Be a visible and approachable presence across your departments, building strong relationships with managers and ambassadors.

  • Support recruitment and onboarding, helping teams find and welcome the right people.

  • Guide managers on absence, performance and employee relations topics. You translate policies into clear and workable actions.

  • Actively contribute to departmental meetings, bringing a strong people perspective.

  • Support day-to-day People & Culture topics, ensuring consistency while keeping a human approach.

  • Work closely with L&D to support growth, development and team engagement.

  • Contribute to a culture where we Together Thrive, are Fearlessly Different, and continue to Evolve & Elevate.

 

What makes you the perfect fit?

You enjoy being where the action is, staying close to people and understanding what is happening on the floor. You step in when it matters and bring a calm, practical approach to everyday challenges.

 

You are approachable and confident in your communication, able to have open and honest conversations. You know how to translate guidelines into actions that make sense for teams and can be applied in real situations.

 

You take ownership, build strong relationships across the business and are motivated to keep learning, growing and making an impact day by day.

 

You:

  • Have experience in an HR role, such as HR Administrator or HR Coordinator.

  • Are ready to step into a more hands-on, people-focused role within the business.

  • Have experience working in hospitality.

  • Communicate confidently in English, and preferably Dutch.

  • Are organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

  • Have a genuine interest in people, culture and day-to-day HR operations.

  • Are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
